November Part 2

Camping Trip

Last weekend, we went camping with our friends, the Adams', at Cedar Hill State Park.  We got a late start, but the boys (with friends Mason and Parker) still managed to squeeze in plenty of ladder golf and "fishing" in the grass. 

"Begin with the End in Mind"

Last week, Marty received an award at school for "Beginning with the End in Mind," the second habit from 7 Habits of Happy Kids. 

Superman & Green Lantern

October Pictures

Lots of pictures to catch up on!  Hannah, Will and Jessel visited us, which was lots of fun, although we didn't have much luck getting a picture of all three kids in their longhorn gear.  The boys spent lots of time holding and squeezing and kissing Jessel.  She, in turn, thought most of what they did was hilarious! 

Also, Marty brought home Ellery (his class mascot) for the week, so we took her to the Owens Farm, the dentist, etc.  Then, we had to document Ellery's time with our family, so we took a stab at scrapbooking these pictures in the class book.  Finally, Marty and I attempted to turn a pumpkin into "A Frog in the Bog" for a Storybook Pumpkin Contest at school.  Whew!  This is definitely the craftiest week of my life....

Eli didn't have school today, so we met some friends at the Arboretum.  We have lots of pictures with pumpkins!

San Diego

Here are pictures from our trip to San Diego in August.  We went to the San Diego Zoo, the USS Midway, and spent lots of time kayaking, bike riding, and just hanging out in front of our hotel on Mission Bay.

Marty turns 5!

And.....we're back!  Some pictures from Marty's 5th birthday last month.  We gave him a big bike, which he was pretty excited about.  We celebrated once with his friends at Pump it Up, and also with his friends at camp, where he shared a birthday with Sally.

Jessel's Naming

We had a great trip to Atlanta for Jessel's naming! We got to meet Jessel for the first time, and she is absolutely precious! I didn't taking any pictures at the naming, but here are some pictures from us all hanging around Will and Hannah's house. There's also a picture of Tyler and Marty in the stands at the SEC Championship Game (Kentucky vs. Alabama) at the Georgia Dome.

When we got home today, Marty went straight to his room, put on his Batman costume, and fell asleep!

Pre-K Art Show

A couple of weeks ago, the Pre-K classes hosted an Art Show to showcase all of the artwork they've created since Winter Break. Above is a picture of the kids singing a song about artists, and a picture of Marty with his "Picasso from the Rose Period."
