Last Sunday, we met the Segals and Rineharts (sans Dan) at the Arboretum. We were really impressed with the pumpkin houses and the pumpkin pond with the geese gourds. Some pictures of the big kids (Mila, Edward and Marty) and the little kids (Romi, Helen and Eli):

Yom Kippur
This morning, we went to the Yom Kippur Children's service at Temple. We took these pictures right before we left:

Busy Saturday
Saturday was a big day for Marty. Two of his friends celebrated their birthdays - Ollie and Sam. I only remembered to take my camera to one of them, so here are a few pictures from Sam's Train Party. We rode DART downtown to have pizza and cupcakes at Campisi's, and then we rode DART back to Walnut Hill Station. Everyone had lots of fun!

That evening, we all went to Ollie's Super Hero birthday party. Marty and Eli wore themselves out. When we went to check on Marty at 9:30 last night, this is what we found:

A Very Random Day
Marty has had a little "coughing (with occasional vomiting) bug" for the past couple of days. Even though he seemed like he felt great, I didn't have the nerve to take him to Rosh Hashanah services today. So, we did what any good Jewish family would do in times of uncertainty - we went to North Park. Eli walked the perimeter of the mall, and Marty was happy to hold his hand and lead him. Tyler met us for lunch, and afterward, Marty called out, "Thank you for lunch, Dad! See you soon!"
All that cuteness lasted until dinnertime when Marty started to long for all the things he doesn't have ("Nonna, will you please bring your binoculars to Dallas?"). Meanwhile, Eli turned on the charm of crawling nude through the dog-door. Good times....

Napa Valley
We spent Labor Day weekend in Napa for Karleen and Jared's wedding. The wedding and wedding events were unbelievable, but I don't have pics from those (my camera wouldn't fit in my handbag :). We did get pictures of much of our clan at the Martinelli and Davis Family Wineries on Saturday. On Sunday, we went to Hall Wineries to take a look at their collection of "red" art. We also got a little shopping in at the shops of Yountville.
